year 7

Hey everybody, as u may no this year i am in year 7 and i am enjoying it so much. Although the learning is very different they have helped me so much. i am really enjoying french this year, i have learnt so much already and we have our first test coming up soon. At first i was very nervous because the teachers were throwing new words at me everywhere i went but now i no exactly what those words mean and i now realise that they weren’t hard to understand at all. off course most of the year 6 and even 5 must be very nervous knowing that high school is very close but high school is a lovely place and don’t worry theres not as much homework as some  people say. at the moment i am really enjoying textiles (sewing). Some of you are probably thinking I’m crazy but i was very surprised myself. I have been asked to present on open day so if you come down to the textiles classrooms make sure you say hi.  There is many new subjects to get use to but i really enjoy each and everyone of they, well maybe not 1 or 2 but i they are actually the subjects that i have learnt the most in. I really hope i find the time soon to come visit my old primary school. I have made many new friends such as Stevie who is an amazing gymnast, Lara who has wayyyyyyy to much swag, and lili who went to my primary school. I may not be in the same classes as my friends from primary school but we still catch up at lunch. My heart sister is Maya she is extremely nice, every tuesday she would bring me cupcakes. I think if you asked anyone at my school what there favourite thing was the answer would have to be either food tech or the computers and iPad. Out side of school i have started xompeteting for cheerleading.  maddie-leprechaun-dancing-v2-t-b-YRAM-copyright

Australia’s most deadly house fires

3 years ago a fire took place I slacks creek south of Brisbane in Australia. But this was no ordinary house fire, it was said to be Australia’s most deadly house fire. Eleven people were killed and eight of them were children.  This all happened  while they were sleeping. Two families together for a cousins sleepover then ripped apart by the horrible tragedy. Scars still remain for the survivors. Jeremiah Lale lost his wife and five children. While Tau Taufa suffered the loss of his wife , three granddaughters and niece in the fire that night.

I think our group worked well together. We got our work done early and had time to edit. My topic was on Australia’s most deadly house fire and Ebola. I think we used our time really we’ll. I was proud of how our video turned out but I think we could of made it more interesting and exciting. I worked with Jessica and Rylee and I enjoyed working with them a lot. I think we did enough but we could of added something seeing we had so much extra time left over. I was pretty proud of what we did and think we used our time wisely!

Hope and joy-Nelson Mandela

Tell us about this person-

nelson Mandela was a civil rights leader in south africa.  he fought against apartheid witch is a system were non white citizens were separated from whites and didn’t have equal rights. He served a portion of his life in prison for his protests.

Why I chose him-

i chose nelson Mandela because he is a really good role model and he always stood up for what he believed in.

How did he show hop and joy-

nelson Mandela never gave up when it came to standing up for what he believed in. His opinions were defiantly not unnoticed and that’s what made him such a good role model. He stood up for what was right and made sure he was noticed.

as i find my seat i get even more excited to see one direction. when the music starts the screaming of girls bursts my ears. all through the song girls scream louder and louder. i sing along to every song. my heart is pounding with excitement and joy all through the concert. when the concert is over i can barley hear a thing my ears are so blocked from the screaming. when i got home i couldn’t wait to tell my family how fun and exciting it was.
